The right shoes can make all the difference

Check out these great ideas for keeping your feet on the ground

Tripping over your own 2 feet can be frustrating ... and lead to serious consequences.   Whether you are dealing with slippery soles, stretched out uppers or infamous and dangerous flip flops, what you put on your feet to stand up may be the thing that brings you down.

Today, new🔗 slip-in technology for men and women means walking shoes are easy to get on and off and don't wear down at the heal.  No more shoehorns needed!

Slippers and house shoes need to be easy to get on, fit snug and offer a non-slip sole.  Consider 🔗light weight house shoes in the summer and 🔗cozy slippers in the winter.  Remember to avoid walking around the house in socks that can be very slippery, and toss out your flip flops, which are too loose fitting, particularly on stairs.

Don't pass up a chance to get dressed up every now and then.  There are many fashionable dress shoes today that give you all the confidence you need to get out and about.  For women, look for options with a 🔗wide toe box and a low or chunky heal.  There are also many fashionable slip-on dress shoes for men with 🔗lug soles that are great at gripping the ground.

Tut tut it looks like rain... so be sure to be ready.  Whether due to rain, snow or maybe just some exuberant gardening, you need to make sure you are wearing boots with non-slip soles, so you don't slip on wet pavement.  Consider 🔗sturdy, all-weather boots for challenging weather in colder climates.  Make sure boots are easy to get on and off, fit properly to avoid blisters and have lug soles, so they grip the ground even on wet and slippery surfaces.

Do family and friends gasp when you mention you're going to play pickleball, as if you’ve announced plans to wrestle an alligator? It’s well‑intentioned, of course, but it’s also wildly outdated.
